The collaboration between IMQ S.p.A. and Blockchain Italia S.r.l. to guarantee the authenticity and inalterability of conformity certificates issued through the DEDIT.IO platform has been launched.

An objective that also well represents the meaning of the recent collaboration with Blockchain Italia S.r.l, an Italian company specialized in fintech and blockchain solutions.Â
The aim is to make the certificates of conformity issued by IMQ invulnerable, traceable and unchangeable, offering immediate verifiability of the origin and veracity of the data contained. These objectives become even more important when, as in the case of IMQ certificates, the contents and information are relevant to consumer safety and are often used by the authorities responsible for market protection and large utilities in tenders to trace the actual characteristics of products. Â
IMQ certificates will be notarized in a public blockchain where only IMQ will have the ability to create new certificates, using the benefits of the technology such as authentication, decentralization of information, a combination of trustless time stamps, transactions and cryptographic key pairs.Â

The notarization of IMQ certificates on the blockchain is currently active for certificates issued by IMQ under the “IECEE CB” scheme and is related to the conformity of electrical products to international standards but will be applied to all other certifications in the future.
